As architects and designers, we are here to take you through the design part of your journey.  We will guide you through the process from your initial vision, concepts and throughout the council process to provide you with consented plans all the while working closely with your builder and any consultants that are required.  We can be involved in your building project every step of the way to achieve the best possible result for you.

project planning and proposal

  • Site visit to get an understanding of the environment and any particulars which will help us with your design.

  • Review information required ie. title, zoning and town planning details and any site information.  A topography survey and Geotech report may also be required.

  • Discuss your brief, requirements and budget.

  • We will provide you with a fee proposal and agreement. 

concept design

  • The initial concept will include a site plan for your property including site setbacks, elevations and floor plan.

  • The concept plans will also allow you to consider the floor plan and view our 3D renders with an option to experience a virtual walk through your new home.

  • By the end of this stage, we will proceed with your approved site and house plan.

preliminary design

  • We will add the finer details to your plans.  Work with any engineering that is required and start to detail the chosen concept design. 

  • We will add the selected materials including exterior finishes like cladding, roofing materials, interior finishes and products like windows and doors etc..

  • A more detailed design of the site with drainage, foundation plans and more detailed elevations. This part of the process concludes when the interior and exterior design of the building is confirmed.

  • These plans can also be used for preliminary pricing for the build with your appointed contractor.

building consent drawings

  • This is the largest of all stages for us and where we finalize all technical design, required engineering, any structural designs and detailing.

  • These plans and specifications will be ready to be lodged to the applicable council for building consent.
